Pre-Sales Solution Engineer


Apptricity Corporation, the global leader in real-time enterprise asset, inventory, field services, and spend management technology, is currently seeking a passionate Pre-Sales Solution Engineer to join our fast-growing company.

In this role, you will provide essential support to the Sales Teams to complete licensed software sales. Our Pre-Sales Solution Engineer will use their technical and presentation skills to help prospective clients understand how Apptricity solutions will provide value to their organization. This position requires an individual that will bring technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on customer service. You will play a key role in closing sales by providing discovery sessions and product demonstrations with customers.

Location: Onsite in Irving, Tx or Irvine, CA

Travel: Occasional travel to customer

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with prospective clients in discovery sessions and ongoing follow-up discussions to ensure clear and concise communication is taking place between our teams and customers
  • Provide technical expertise in support of all sales cycle activities including RFI’s/RFPs, discovery sessions, solution demonstrations, and sales closures
  • Create and adapt presentations to address prospective clients’ specific business needs and highlight technical advantages of Apptricity solutions
  • Assist in maintaining product demonstration environments and configuring demonstration data and scenarios as required in sales cycles
  • Host onsite and online demonstrations to clients, including attending trade shows as needed
  • Follow up with customers and identify future opportunities for growth, improving client satisfaction and increasing retention
  • Work internally with Sales and IT team during proof-of-concept sessions and conference room pilots as needed
  • Maintain understanding of Apptricity solutions across all product segments, and competitive offering's in the market

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • 5+ years of pre-sales engineer experience with an ERP software
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to C-level Executives, Operation Directors, and IT Management
  • Solid presentation and communications skills with the ability to explain technical information to a technical and/or non-technical audience
  • Effective public speaking skills with the ability to control an audience, convey necessary concepts, and overcome objections
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technology; experience with asset management and inventory software a plus
  • Ability to travel for brief intervals to customers
  • Proficient technical skills necessary for installing enterprise software, loading complex data, managing hardware environments, and writing SQL a plus
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
